Thermomix Hong Kong Basic Cooking Class Recipe and Step-by-step Guide to make Chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients

140 g dark chocolate, cut into
pieces (1-2 cm)
• 130 g butter, cut into pieces
• 100 g caster sugar
• 100 g light brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 2 tsp vanilla sugar or 1 tsp
natural vanilla extract
• 180 g plain flour
• ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
• ½ tsp baking powder
• 1 pinch salt

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line two baking trays with baking paper and set aside.
  2. Place dark chocolate into mixing bowl and grate 3 sec/ speed 6. Transfer into a bowl and set aside.
  3. Place butter, sugar, light brown sugar, egg and vanilla sugar or vanilla extract into mixing bowl and mix 2 min/ speed 3.
  4. Add flour, bicarbonate soda, baking powder and salt and mix 40 sec/speed 4.
  5. Add reserved grated chocolate and stir 30 sec/speed 2. Form dough with aid of 2 teaspoons into approx. 30 walnut-size balls and place them 5 cm apart onto prepared baking trays. Cookies will flatten as they bake. Bake one baking tray after another for 10-12 minutes (180°C) until cookies are golden brown. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
