It’s unbelievably easy with your Thermomix®!

In less than 3 minutes of mixing and whisking, the cake mixture will be done and ready to go into your preheated oven!

Try it! This goes well with coffee or tea on a lazy afternoon.

Ingredients

250g Butter, softened and cut into cubes
160g Caster sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
5 Eggs, A-sized
50g Fresh milk
250g Self-raising flour

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C. Lightly grease and line a 20cm by 20cm cake tin with baking paper. Set aside.
  2. Insert butterfly whisk. Place butter and sugar into mixing bowl, beat 1 min 30 sec/speed 3.5
  3. Mix 40 sec/speed 3.5, adding vanilla extract, eggs one at a time and fresh milk through hole in mixing bowl lid onto rotating blades to beat the mixture into a smooth batter.
  4. Add self-raising flour, mix 30 sec/speed 3.5. Transfer cake mixture into prepared cake tin.
  5. Bake in preheated over at 170°C for 30 to 40 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a serving plate and cool completely. Cut and serve.
